Registrations for Limone Skyrunning Extreme will officially close on Thursday evening, but undecided athletes of the last minute will have a chance to grab a bib on Saturday morning at the Race Office in Limone Sul Garda on Via Caldogno near the Convention Hall. Despite the constantly evolving starting list, the challenge for the first "Skyrunning Team Awards" title — or what has already been defined as the "world championship for private teams" — expects a close race between Scarpa, La Sportiva and Salomon ... but there is no shortage of outsiders. A real challenge is also expected on the Vertical de la Mughéra, which is valid as the final of the VK OPEN Championship by ISF. The "only up" race will start first on Lungolago Marconi at 9:30 a.m. The course is always the same, with its 1100 meters of elevation gain in less than 3 km. The times to beat are 36'02" by Rémi Bonnet (2018) and Andrea Mayr’s 42'43" (2021). The start of the skyrace test, also on Lungolago Marconi, will begin at 11:30 a.m. The program was specially designed to allow the athletes of the vertical race to reach the top and then follow the salient phases of the sky-running event. In both cases, the show is guaranteed. The tested 22.22 km route with an elevation gain of 2,052 meters will decide the world's strongest private team. In this case, the times to beat are 2h23'03” by Nadir Maguet and 2h55'23” by Denisa Dragomir. As always, the awards ceremonies will take place in the afternoon and the big end-of-season party will be in the evening.
